The allotments are owned and managed by the Greenwich Council with a local site representative who is also an allotment holder.

The Council:

  • Maintains the wait list,
  • Sends invoices and tracks payment,
  • Mows the median grass strip and access road,
  • Supplies the water,
  • Carries out any repairs and maintenance to fences or water tanks.

The relevant Council officer can be contacted at the Parks Department on parks@royalgreenwich.gov.uk

The site representative:

  • Shows prospective new allotment holders the relevant sites,
  • Advises Council of any issues for them to deal with,
  • Inspects the plots on a regular basis with the Council officers,
  • Liaises with allotment holders with any issues they may have.
